Edwina Bartholomew is a familiar friendly face on the Seven Network's popular breakfast show "Sunrise", and this year you’ll see her on the Coastrek trail!
Edwina is joining us as a Coastrek Ambassador, taking on the 30 km trek along Sydney's Northern Beaches, and wants to encourage other mums to do the same. She believes that despite the busy schedules of young mothers, Coastrek provides an opportunity to get healthy and fit with the support of a team and a comprehensive training program.
“We all know the juggle and the struggle is real for us mums but now that my youngest is turning one, I’m making a conscious effort to regain some fitness in 2023 - and what better way to do it than with a group of friends to encourage and support each other through training and completing an epic challenge.”
Edwina has witnessed how the power of walking can transform physical and mental health and was happy to support Coastrek’s mission to get more women moving in nature.
“I’ve had friends and family take part in Coastrek before when they’ve been going through some challenges and it really helped them focus on getting through – so when you see firsthand how it can have such a positive impact, I was only too happy come on board as an Ambassador.
Coastrek is a great way to get moving and achieve your fitness goals while giving back to the community by raising awareness and valuable funds to support ongoing research for the Heart Foundation.
