Two-time Walkley Award winner, Virginia Trioli is one of Australia's best-known journalists, with a formidable reputation as a television anchor, radio presenter, writer and commentator.
She currently hosts the popular Mornings on ABC Melbourne radio program and was a co-host of ABC News Breakfast TV show for over a decade.
She is also a huge fan of Coastrek! In her interview with, Di Westaway OAM, she says of her 2021 Coastrek challenge on the Mornington Peninsula:
“It was possibly one of the happiest days of my entire life. It was a gloriously beautiful late autumn day. Walking along the amazing coastline of Point Nepean and the National Park, being with a bunch of friends, eating lunch on the cliff tops looking over Bass Strait. It was just a remarkably beautiful day.”
Her busy schedule means Virginia isn’t able to get to the Mornington Peninsula this year but has returned as an Ambassador to encourage more women to get out in nature with their friends, training and challenging themselves with Coastrek.
Virginia has her sights set on doing and interstate Coastrek event this year – watch this space to see where she turns up!
